Question 1 (d) - Page 255 Use unmarked number lines to evaluate these expressions: d. –99 – (–200) = _______–99 – (–200) = (–99) + (200) Since (–99) is negative, we mark (–99) to the left of zero And since (200) is positive, we mark (200) to the right we reach 101 Thus, –99 – (–200) = –99 + 200 = 200 – 99 = 101
