Question 1 (b) - Page 255 Use unmarked number lines to evaluate these expressions: b. +105 – (–55) = _______ +105 – (–55) = 105 + 55 Since (105) is positive, we mark (105) to the right of zero And since (55) is positive, we mark (55) to the right we reach (160) Thus, +105 – (–55) = 105 + 55 = 160
