What are the changes seen in girls at the time of puberty?

The changes seen in females at the time of puberty are:

  • Mammary glands or breasts develop and enlarge 
  • Ovary starts releasing eggs and they start menstruating
  • Their voice becomes shrill
  • Growth of hair is seen in areas like armpits and genitals
  • Fallopian tubes, vagina and uterus enlarge.
  • Thighs and hips broaden due to deposition of fats in these areas.
