Why are some patients of diabetes treated by giving injections of insulin?

Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas. It is responsible for regulating blood sugar levels.
If blood sugar levels rise,
- Pancreatic cells respond by producing more insulin
- If it is not secreted properly the blood sugar level increases causing harm.
- This condition is called diabetes .
- To help such patients, insulin injection is given.
