What are the advantages of nuclear energy?




The advantages of nuclear energy are

  • A very large amount of energy is produced from a small amount of nuclear substance.
  • It does not produce harmful gases like sulphuric acid and carbon dioxide which causes acid rain and greenhouse effect.
  • Generating electricity in nuclear reactors is cheaper than electricity generated from oil, gas and coal
  • It is possible to generate a high amount of electrical energy in one single plant over a long period of time (2-3 years)
