What kind of mirror – concave, convex or plain – would be best suited for use in a solar cooker? Why?

Answer

In a Solar cooker, we reflect the Heat from the Sun into the Inside portion of the cooker.

We use a concave mirror in a solar cooker because
A Concave mirror is a converging mirror, so it converges a large amount of sun’s rays to the inside of the cooker. This increases the temperature and cooking takes place

A Convex mirror is a diverging mirror. So, it would diverge all the sunlight. So, convex mirror is not used.

A plane mirror does not converge light, so it would not reflect enough sun rays for the food to cook. So, we do not use a plane mirror
