What are the disadvantages of fossil fuels?

The disadvantages of fossil fuels are

  • When fossil fuels are burnt, they produce a large amount of harmful gases which cause air pollution..
  • Fossil fuels are non-renewable, that is, once they are finished it’ll take a very long time to replenish them.
  • Mining of fossil fuels can be hazardous to life and property.
  • Burning of fossil fuels leads to production of gases like sulphur dioxide, carbon dioxide which further cause acid rain, thus polluting soil and water.
