(a) a sunny day.       (b) a cloudy day.

(c) a hot day.             (d) a windy day

(b) a cloudy day.

A solar water heater can only work when it is provided some solar energy.

Solar energy is provided by the sun.

On a cloudy day, the sun’s heat are blocked by the clouds and it can not reach the earth.

Hence, in the absence of the sun’s heat, a solar water heater can not work.
