What are the limitations of the energy that can be obtained from the oceans?

Limitations of Energy obtained from the oceans are

  • Cost of setting up an energy generation station is very high
  • Number of places where the power station can be set up is very few
  • Maintenance cost of these power stations are high
  • Since Water conditions change erratically, Energy from the Oceans cannot be a reliable source of energy
