Ex 7.2, 5 What is the probability of getting an even number when rolling a fair 6-sided die? On a 6-sided die, our outcomes are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 And, here even numbers are 2, 4, 6 Thus, Total Number of outcomes = 6 Number of outcomes with even numbers = 3 Therefore, P(even number) = (๐‘๐‘ข๐‘š๐‘๐‘’๐‘Ÿ ๐‘œ๐‘“ ๐‘œ๐‘ข๐‘ก๐‘๐‘œ๐‘š๐‘’๐‘  ๐‘ค๐‘–๐‘กโ„Ž ๐‘’๐‘ฃ๐‘’๐‘› ๐‘›๐‘ข๐‘š๐‘๐‘’๐‘Ÿ๐‘ )/(๐‘‡๐‘œ๐‘ก๐‘Ž๐‘™ ๐‘›๐‘ข๐‘š๐‘๐‘’๐‘Ÿ ๐‘œ๐‘“ ๐‘œ๐‘ข๐‘ก๐‘๐‘œ๐‘š๐‘’๐‘ ) = 3/6 = ๐Ÿ/๐Ÿ
