Ex 7.2, 5 What is the probability of getting an even number when rolling a fair 6-sided die? On a 6-sided die, our outcomes are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 And, here even numbers are 2, 4, 6 Thus, Total Number of outcomes = 6 Number of outcomes with even numbers = 3 Therefore, P(even number) = (𝑁𝑢𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑜𝑢𝑡𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑠 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑛𝑢𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑠)/(𝑇𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑛𝑢𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑜𝑢𝑡𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑠) = 3/6 = 𝟏/𝟐
