Randomness To calculate objective probability, we study randomness. Randomness means that there are multiple potential outcomes, but we cannot predict which outcome will occur In probability, actions like tossing a coin or rolling a die are called experiments or trials. A Random Experiment has three main rules: You can repeat it over and over (like rolling a die). Every time you do it, the result might be different. You absolutely cannot know the outcome in advance. Examples could be In cricket, Why do we toss a coin to decide which team will bat first? This is because we know that Coin toss will give either Heads or Tails. Since both have same probability, they are equally likely. So, it makes coin toss a fair way to find out Why is Rain Random? Rain is a random event because it depends on incredibly complex atmospheric factors (temperature, wind, pressure). Because our weather tools aren't 100% perfect, we can't guarantee rain. We can only look at the data patterns and say, "There is an 80% chance of rain."
