Question 11 A factory requires 42 machines to produce a given number of toys in 63 days. How many machines are required to produce the same number of toys in 54 days?Given that, 42 machines produces toys in 63 days We need to find how many machines are required to produce same number of toys in 54 days Let Number of Machines be x Now, we draw a table Now, as Total number of toys is same As Number of machines increase Time taken to make toys would decrease So, they are in Inverse Proportion So, we write numbers as 𝒙_𝟏 𝒚_𝟏 = 𝒙_𝟐 𝒚_𝟐 42 × 63 = 𝑥 × 54 (𝟒𝟐 × 𝟔𝟑)/𝟓𝟒=𝒙 (7 × 63)/9=𝑥 7 × 7 =𝑥 49 =𝑥 𝒙 = 49 So, it will take 49 machines
