Question 2 - Figure it out (Page 65) Fill in the empty cells if x and y are in inverse proportion.Since x & y are in Inverse Proportion Their Product is a constant 𝒙 × 𝒚 = Constant First, we find our constant (𝑘) using the complete column: Constant = k = 𝑥 × 𝑦 = 16 × 9 = 144 Now we use this constant to find the missing numbers: Column 2: 𝟏𝟐 × 𝒚=𝟏𝟒𝟒 𝑦=144/12 𝐲=𝟏𝟐 Column 3: 𝒙 × 𝟒𝟖=𝟏𝟒𝟒 𝑥=144/48 𝒙=𝟑 Column 4: 𝟑𝟔 × 𝒚=𝟏𝟒𝟒 𝑦=144/36 𝒚=𝟒
