Example 1 - Page 176 A farmer had 5 grandchildren. She distributed 2/3 acre of land to each of her grandchildren. How much land in all did she give to her grandchildren? Land given to 1 grandchild = 2/3 acre Land given to 5 grandchildren = 5 × 𝟐/𝟑 acre = (5 × 2)/3 = 𝟏𝟎/𝟑 acre
