Subtraction of Decimal Numbers To subtract decimal, first we convert them into fractions and then we convert the final fraction into decimal. Subtract 2.76 from 3.8 2.76 from 3.8 3.8 – 2.76 = 38/10 − 276/100 = 38/10 × 10/10 − 276/100 = 𝟑𝟖𝟎/𝟏𝟎𝟎 − 𝟐𝟕𝟔/𝟏𝟎𝟎 = ((380 − 276))/100 = 104/100 = 1.04 Subtract 9.398 from 34.65 9.398 from 34.65 34.65 – 9.398 = 3465/100 − 9398/1000 = 3465/100 × 10/10 − 9398/1000 = 𝟑𝟒𝟔𝟓𝟎/𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎 − 𝟗𝟑𝟗𝟖/𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎 = ((34650 − 9398))/1000 = 25252/1000 = 25.252
