Question 1 – Page 57 What is the difference: 25 9/10− 6 4/10 7/100 ?These are mixed fractions, converting them into normal fractions 25 9/10=(25 × 10 + 9)/10=259/10=259/10 ×10/10=𝟐𝟓𝟗𝟎/𝟏𝟎𝟎 6 4/10 7/100=6+4/10+7/100=(6 × 100 + 4 × 10 + 7)/100=𝟔𝟒𝟕/𝟏𝟎𝟎 Now, finding difference 𝟐𝟓𝟗𝟎/𝟏𝟎𝟎− 𝟔𝟒𝟕/𝟏𝟎𝟎 Since denominator is same, we subtract numerator 𝟐𝟓𝟗𝟎/𝟏𝟎𝟎− 𝟔𝟒𝟕/𝟏𝟎𝟎 =(2590 − 647)/100 =𝟏𝟗𝟒𝟑/𝟏𝟎𝟎 =(1900 + 43)/100 =1900/100+43/100 =19+43/100 =𝟏𝟗 𝟒𝟑/𝟏𝟎𝟎 =19+40/100+3/100 =19+4/10+3/100 =𝟏𝟗 𝟒/𝟏𝟎 𝟑/𝟏𝟎𝟎
