Question 1 – Page 56 What will be the sum of 15 3/10 4/100 and 2 6/10 8/100 ?These are mixed fractions, converting them into normal fractions 15 3/10 4/100=15+3/10+4/100=(15 × 100 + 3 × 10 + 4)/100=𝟏𝟓𝟑𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎 2 6/10 8/100=2+6/10+8/100=(2 × 100 + 6 × 10 + 8)/100=𝟐𝟔𝟖/𝟏𝟎𝟎 Now, adding 𝟏𝟓𝟑𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎 and 𝟐𝟔𝟖/𝟏𝟎𝟎 Since denominator is same, we add numerator 𝟏𝟓𝟑𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎 +𝟐𝟔𝟖/𝟏𝟎𝟎=(1534 + 268)/100 =𝟏𝟖𝟎𝟐/𝟏𝟎𝟎 =(1800 + 2)/100 =1800/100+2/100 =18+2/100 =𝟏𝟖 𝟐/𝟏𝟎𝟎
