Areolar connective tissue

The areolar connective tissue is found between the skin and muscles, around blood vessels and nerves and in the bone marrow .

This tissue:

  • Fills the space inside the organs 
  • Supports internal organs 
  • Helps in repair of tissues

 

Adipose tissue

  • The fats in our body acts as an insulator ; thus keeping us warm
  • For this the fats have to be stored in the body
  • Fats are stored in adipose tissues with the cells filled with fat globules
  • It is found below the skin and between internal organs
