- In the ancient times, people used animal furs and skins, barks, big leaves etc. to cover themselves.
- After that people learnt to weave twigs and grasses into mats and baskets.
- Vines , animal fleece or hair were twisted together into long thread so as to make fabric.
- People did not know how to stitch so they simply draped the fabrics around their body.
- Later on clothes were invented.
