Fibers which come from Plants and Animals are called Natural Fibers.

Examples- Cotton, wall, silk, flax and jute.

 

Fibers from Plants -

  • Fibers like cotton, flax and jute are obtained from plants , so they are called plant fibers.

 

Fibers from Animals

  • Silk fiber comes from the cocoon of Silkworm
  • Wool (Mainly Sheep, it can also be obtained from Yak, Rabbit and Camel)
