‘Evolution and Classification of organisms are interlinked.’ Give reasons to justify this statement.

Answer:

Classification is the reflection of evolutionary relationships between organisms.

The more two organisms are related to each other, the more characteristics they have in common. The more characteristics they have in common , the more recently they have a common ancestor.

Similarities between organisms allow us to classify them and these classification helps us determine how these organisms are evolutionary related.
