Ex 7.1, 4 A football team won 10 matches out of the total number of matches they played. If their win percentage was 40, then how many matches did they play in all? Given, Number of Matches won = 10 Win Percentage = 40 % Let the Total Number of Matches played by the team = x Now, Win Percentage = (𝑁𝑢𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑀𝑎𝑡𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑠 𝑤𝑜𝑛)/𝑇𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 × 100 40 = 𝟏𝟎/𝒙 × 100 𝑥 = (10 × 100)/40 𝑥 = 25 ∴ The total Matches Played = 25
