Question 6 - Figure it out (Page 162-164) [Śulba-Sūtras] Give a method to obtain a rectangle of the same area as a given triangle.We follow these steps Step 1: Draw a horizontal line straight across the triangle, exactly halfway up its height. Cut along this line. You now have a smaller triangle on top and a trapezium on the bottom. Step 2: Take the smaller top triangle and cut it vertically straight down the middle (its altitude). You now have two identical right-angled triangles. Step 3: Take these two right-angled triangles, flip them upside down, and fit them perfectly against the slanted sides of the bottom trapezium.
