Given Total length = 29 m And, we need to share it amongst 4 people Thus, Length of ribbon each will get = (𝑇𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑡ℎ)/(𝑁𝑢𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒) = 𝟐𝟗/𝟒 m Now, to divide this, we make denominator 10, 100, 1000… So, we to solve this, we multiply and divide by 25 (as 4 × 25 = 100) 29/4=𝟐𝟗/𝟒 ×𝟐𝟓/𝟐𝟓 =(29 × 25)/(2 × 25) =(29 × 25)/100 = 29 × 25 × 𝟏/𝟏𝟎𝟎 = 725 × 1/100 = 7.25 m Thus, each person will get 7.25 m of ribbon
