(ii) The sum of the squares of two consecutive numbers m2 + n2 (m + n)2 m2 + 1 m2 + (m + 1)2 m2 + (m – 1)2 (m + (m + 1))2 (2m)2 + (2m + 1)2Now, If the first number is m, the next is (m + 1) We need to find the sum of squares of them (individually) Thus, answer is m2 + (m + 1)2
