Question 2 Give three numbers such that their sum is –8.We need to find three numbers that add up to -8. There are many possible answers. Here is one example: Let's pick two negative numbers and one positive number. Like (−5) + (−4) + 1 Now, (–5) + (–4) + 1 = – (5 + 9) + 1 = – 9 + 1 = – (9 – 1) = –8 So, three numbers that sum to -8 are -5, -4, and 1.
