The Key Relationship: Divisor vs. Quotient When the Divisor is greater than 1... ...the Quotient will be SMALLER than the Dividend. ■(&6÷3=2@&6→2) (Dividing by 3 makes the result smaller) When the Divisor is less than 1... ...the Quotient will be LARGER than the Dividend. ■(&6÷1/4=24@&6→24) (Dividing by 1/4 makes the result larger)
