Question 3 Manju and two of her neighbours buy 5 litres of oil every week and share it equally among the 3 families. How much oil does each family get in a week? How much oil will one family get in 4 weeks? Number of oil bought by 3 families in 1 week = 5 liters Now, Number of oil bought by 1 family in 1 week = 𝟓/𝟑 liters Thus, each family gets 𝟓/𝟑 liters in one week Oil one family gets in 4 week Number of oil bought by 1 family in 4 week = 𝟓/𝟑 × 𝟒 = (5 × 4)/3 = 𝟐𝟎/𝟑 liters
