Question 1 - Page 64 Write the large numbers in decimal form and in terms of place value, and read the number : (a) 23 hundreds (b) 234 tenths 23 hundreds Number = 23 × 100 = 2300 = 2,300 Writing in place value Number in words is Two thousand three hundred (b) 234 tenths Number = 234 × 1/10 = 234/10 = 23.4 Writing in place value Number = 23.4 We can read the number as Twenty-three point four OR Two tens, three units and four tenths
