Fraction – Quick revision We represent this as 1/4 Here, 1/4 In 1/4, 1 is Numerator 4 is Denominator Fraction on number lineDraw 𝟏/𝟐 on number line Let’s us draw number line from 0 to 2 Since in 1/2, we have denominator 2. We divide line between 0 & 1 into 2 equal parts Draw 𝟐/πŸ‘ on number line Let’s us draw number line from 0 to 2 Since in 2/3, we have denominator 3. We divide line between 0 & 1 into 3 equal parts Proper Fraction Fraction = π‘π‘œπ‘šπ‘–π‘›π‘Žπ‘‘π‘œπ‘Ÿ/π·π‘’π‘›π‘œπ‘šπ‘–π‘›π‘Žπ‘‘π‘œπ‘Ÿ When Nominator < Denominator, it is proper fraction Eg: 1/5, 2/3, 8/10 Improper Fraction Fraction = π‘π‘œπ‘šπ‘–π‘›π‘Žπ‘‘π‘œπ‘Ÿ/π·π‘’π‘›π‘œπ‘šπ‘–π‘›π‘Žπ‘‘π‘œπ‘Ÿ When Nominator > Denominator, it is improper fraction Eg: 3/2, 9/8, 4/3, 13/6
