Example 7 Amu, Charan, Madhu, and John went to a hotel and ordered four dosas. Each dosa cost ₹23, and they wish to thank the waiter by tipping ₹5. Write an expression describing the total cost. Cost of 1 dosa = Rs 23 Number of dosas bought = 4 Amount of tip = Rs 25 Now, Total cost = Cost of 1 dosa × 4 + Tip = 23 × 4 + 5 = 92 + 6 = Rs 97
