  1. Social reformers such as Phule, Gandhiji, and Ambedkar have fought against caste systems in order to promote a casteless society.
  2. The d evelopment of economics has led to a decrease in the emphasis on caste
  3. As cities become more urbanized , castes become less apparent as people rub shoulders in busses, trains, and offices
  4. Education and literacy have contributed to a decrease in belief in caste.
  5. Now, children are not obligated to continue the family or father's profession .
  6. The strong caste barriers in villages have weakened as a result of landlords' declining influence.
  7. Constitutional clauses that guarantee everyone's equality before the law have made it legal to combat discrimination.
  8. Seat reservation laws in legislatures, local self-government organisations, and educational institutions have improved the political, social, and economic standing of lower castes.
