Biotic |
The living things of environments such as plants and animals |

Biosphere |
The narrow zone where the lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere meet and interact. It supports life and is called the ‘living world’. |

Ecosystem |
A complex system of interactions between organisms and physical environment in a particular region |

Atmoshphere |
The envelope of air which surrounds the earth. |

Lithosphere |
The solid outer layer of the Earth that is made up of rocks, which are solidified from magma or lava. |

Hydroshpere |
The layer of water that surrounds the Earth. It includes all of the oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, glaciers, ice caps, groundwater, etc. |
