  • Assertion (A) :Majority is formed by the people in a democracy. This is true
  • Reasoning (R):  Dominance can undermine the unity of the country. This is true.
  •   In a democracy, the people form the majority but in a country like India this strengthens the power structure fosters unity.  So, this is  not the correct explanation for assertion


  • Assertion is true .
  • Reason is true
  • And, reasoning is the not the correct explanation of assertion.

So, the correct answer is (b).
