This chapter showed the historical events that happened in Europe that contributed to the creation of European nations.  Various patriotic symbols were designed and represented to show the feeling of patriotism.  The idea of liberalism among the various section of society signified different meanings. After centuries of struggle , revolutions, movements , and hardship , the concept of society being organized into 'nation-states' is accepted as natural and universal.
