Turmeric is another natural indicator .
It is known as Haldi in Hindi.
- It turns red, when the given solution is basic in nature.
- Its colour remains unchanged (yellow) in presence of acids .
- If acid is put on the red turmeric paper, it will bring back the red paper to its original yellow colour.
How to make turmeric paper:
- Take a tablespoon of turmeric powder, add water to make a paste .
- Make turmeric paper by depositing turmeric paste on filter paper and drying it.
- Cut it into strips.
