When we look into the mirror, we are able to see ourselves. This is known as our image which formed due to reflection of light by the mirror.

The image which can be obtained on a screen is called real image.
- They are always inverted.
- For example: images formed in the cinema screen.
2. Virtual Images:
The image which cannot be obtained on a screen is called real image.
- They are always upright.
- For example: images formed in the mirror.
