The Oesophagus is a tube (pipe) which connects the mouth (buccal cavity) to the stomach . It is commonly known as the food pipe .
The food pipe is responsible for carrying the slightly digested food from mouth to stomach.
What is vomiting?
Sometimes, the stomach is unable to accept the food and the food is vomited out.
During vomiting food is pushed in the opposite direction from stomach to mouth .
