  • A small amount of energy is required to convert ADP molecules to ATP  
  • This ATP is stored in the body as energy.
  • Stores ATP can be broken back down to ADP to release energy that we use.

Hence, 

  • The assertion is True
  • The reason is True

The reason is NOT the correct explanation of the assertion  

 

So, the correct option is (b).
