What type of reaction takes place when silver bromide is exposed to light?

Answer

Silver Bromide turns grey in sunlight

It is because, the heat of sunlight decomposes Silver Bromide into Silver and Bromine gas

It is thus a light-sensitive compound

The reaction is called Photolysis (Photo means light and lysis means breakdown)
