Find the power of a concave lens of focal length 2 m.

 

Answer

Since focal length of concave lens is negative

Focal length = − 2m



We know that,

Power of a lens = 1/Focal Length

                          = 1/( − 2) 

                          = − 0.5 D

 

Power of a concave lens is − 0.5 D
