Why will a sheet of paper fall slower than one that is crumpled into a ball?

Answer

As a sheet of paper has more surface area than a crumpled ball, it faces more air resistance.

Because it faces more air resistance, its speed decreases.

Therefore, it will fall slower than a crumpled ball.
