It is a biological process in which new organisms are produced from existing organisms

All organisms reproduce (whether  plants, animals or microorganisms) to keep their species alive

Why is Reproduction important?

Organisms reproduce to keep their species alive

If organisms do not reproduce, species will become extinct

So reproduction is necessary for continuation of species(organisms) generation after generation
