(2)

How to answer: For fact-opinion, one sentence is provable and the other gives a feeling or belief. For cause-effect, one event leads to another result.
View Answer Hide Answer

(1) Fact-opinion. The first sentence is a fact because the medal can be verified. The second sentence is an opinion/reflection because it expresses how Dr. Malik feels about the achievement.

(2) Cause-effect. The tumour and surgery are the cause; being bound to a wheelchair is the effect/result.

Pehla pair fact-opinion hai — medal verify ho sakta hai, feeling nahi. Doosra pair cause-effect hai — tumour aur surgery cause hain, wheelchair pe hona effect.

III. Work in pairs to identify which of these pairs of sentences show: 1. cause-effect 2. fact-opinion. Write 1 or 2 in the boxes given.
