I. Speaking Activity. Work in pairs and choose two characters from the story — Sentila and one other character (Arenla, Mesoba, Onula, or a village elder). Prepare a role-play covering: (a) Sentila's desire to learn pot making, (b) the challenges she faces, (c) the advice or perspective the other character offers. Use sentence prompts: "I feel/felt __________ because...", "I wish/wished __________ because...", "When you said/did __________, it made me feel/think __________ because..."
How to answer: Speak naturally in the character's voice. Use story facts but expand creatively. Cover all three points.

Sample Role-play: Sentila and Onula

Sentila: "I feel so frustrated because I have been trying for a whole year and I still cannot make a single good pot. I wish I could just give up, but I cannot — pot making is all I think about."

Onula: "When you let the lump fall and looked so defeated, it made me think that you are trying too hard and letting your tension control the clay. I wish you would relax and trust your hands."

Sentila: "I felt amazed when you fashioned that beautiful pot so effortlessly. It made me believe that maybe I can do it too, because you said you would teach me."

Onula: "I feel proud because your passion is real. Pot making is not just a skill — it is who you are. Keep trying, little one."

Role-play ke teen points: Sentila ka desire, mushkilat, aur doosre character ki advice. Dono log baari baari baat karo, story se facts lo.
