Build a simple solar still: put dirty water in a wide bowl, place an empty cup in the centre, cover the bowl with plastic sheet, and weigh down the centre with a small stone above the cup. In the sun, water evaporates, condenses on the sheet, and drips clean into the cup — distillation using only sunlight.
