Project 4 - Is a Swing a Pendulum?

Objective: Find out if a playground swing acts like a simple pendulum.

Procedure:

1. Visit a playground with a few swings.
2. Measure the time taken for 10 oscillations.
3. Calculate the time period.
4. Repeat with children of different weights — does the time period change?
5. Repeat with swings of different lengths — how does the time period change?

What to conclude: If the time period stays the same regardless of weight but changes with length, the swing behaves like a simple pendulum.
