Question 1 - Page 105 What happens to the mean if a value equal to the mean is included or removed? If you add or remove a number that is exactly equal to the mean, the mean stays the same. Reason Let's use the fair-share idea. Imagine 3 friends share 15 chocolates equally; their "fair share" (mean) is 5 chocolates each. If a new friend joins the group and brings exactly 5 chocolates with them, nobody has to give or take any chocolates to make things equal. The fair share remains exactly 5!
