Question 1 - Page 55 Viswanath made idlis by mixing 6 cups of rice with 3 cups of urad dal, while Puneet made idlis by mixing 4 cups of rice with 2 cups of urad dal. If cooked in the same way, would their idlis taste the same? The idlis will taste the same if the proportion of Rice and Urad dal is the same in both Idlis Thus, we need to check if given ratios are proportional Given ratios of rice and urad dal are 6 : 3 and 4 : 2 Let’s check if they are proportional Vishwanath Ratio is 6 : 3 = 6/3 = 2/1 = 2 : 1 Puneet Ratio is 4 : 2 = 4/2 = 2/1 = 2 : 1 Since both Ratios are same, they are proportional Therefore, Both idlis would taste the same
