In Fig. 7.10, all the sacks have the same weight.Find unknown weight of sack – Fig 7.9 Since the scale is balanced, we can write Left weight = Right Weight Putting values Sack + 2 = 10 + 2 Sack + 2 = 12 Sack = 12 – 2 Sack = 10 Find unknown weight of sack – Fig 7.10 Since the scale is balanced, we can write Left weight = Right Weight Putting values 2 × Sack = 10 + 4 + Sack 2 × Sack = 14 + Sack 2 × Sack – Sack = 14 Sack = 14
